Kabul, March 23rd 2016 – TOLO TV, the leading general entertainment TV channel in Afghanistan, today announced the launch of the family drama series Shereen. The drama will premiere on March 31st 2016 at 9:00pm and will broadcast every Thursday and Friday for 6 weeks.

Shereen is a TOLO TV Original Production produced by and for Afghans to the highest international production standards. The drama is Afghanistan’s first genuine female dramatic heroine, who only wishes to be a good woman and a good mother. She tirelessly works to become a stenographer for the Chief Judge in the Family Court in Kabul to support her family’s needs. Her job exposes her to corruption, blackmail, obsession and abuse from a man who is supposed to represent truth, justice and equality.

Main cast of the series is the famous 8 time award winning Leena Alam who plays the role of Shereen. Alongside Leena as main actors are Abdul Quddos Farahmand as Sarwar, Sadam Neko Wahidi as Behrooz, Hasiba Ibrahimi as Nargis and Said Mehran as Judge Khawari.
